CollectionsI saw this film a few years ago and at the time hadn't seen any Wenders films. But right from the start I knew it was going to be something totally different. The reason I wanted to see it in the first place was my interest in the history of the Berlin Wall.
The film is so beautifully made, it's slow and surrealistic even though the setting is real. The angels are exactly what I think angels should be like if they existed. Miraculous but humane.
However, this is one of those films I find difficult to explain to other people. I mean, with works of art that deal with psychological matters, you either get the point or miss it.
But the English title is somewhat misleading.
